With so many fabulous new designers showcasing collections at this year’s Miami Swim Week, Front House Management is having a whirlwind of an experience. The collections have been incredible so far and there are still more for us to view.
The sixth-annual ‘Summer Splash’ Event, hosted by Cosmopolitan en español, took place on Wednesday, July 18 beginning with a cocktail reception by Ciroc and Peroni. The event took place in celebration of 40 years and held a private runway show at the Soho Beach House that included designs by Barraca Chic, Eberjey, Luli Fama, Maya Swimwear, Samsara Imports by designer Lissette Atassi and Zingara. Many celebrities were in attendance at the event.
A handful of designers including Poko Pano by Paola Robba, Sinesia Karol, and Lila Nikole Collection by Lila Nikole Rivera showcased designs this past Friday, July 20.
Poko Pano by Paola Robba showcased a 40-piece collection for SS2013. The inspiration for the collection came from the city of Salvador. The looks presented in the showcase were infused with the culture of the city gaining inspiration from street artist Bel Bora to Copoeira.
The collection is a reflection of the tropical colors found in Salvador, combining vibrant shades of blue, orange, red, green, pink, yellow and gold. The prints used for the collection came from the influence of flowers, tropical Hibiscus and coconut trees of the region.
The unveiling of Brazilian designer Sinesia Karol’s collection took place at the Soho Beach house. In attendance at the show were more than 300 guests including top buyers, socialites, and national media. The presentation, consisting of 35 looks, received magnificent reviews from everyone.
The collection was inspired by the great diversity found in the orchids of Brazil. The collection is both laid back and sophisticated with embellishments of metal and gold hardware.
Designer Lila Nikole Rivera of Lila Nikole Collection presented a showcase of designs inspired by Ultra Music Festival. Her collection titled “Electrika” took place at the recently opened nightclub, Bamboo Miami.
The collection, modeled by the Miami Dolphins Cheerleaders, was shown on a hydraulic stage where mapped graphics were displayed. The stage gave a 3-D illusion and created the feeling of being in attendance at the festival.
The popular Brazil brand Cia.Martimea showed a beautiful collection of designs adorned with embelishments such as lace, embroidery, and beading. Inspiration for this years collection comes from sensuous South America. As one would expect the collection, designed by Benny Rosset, did not disapoint.
